Undersized righty with two good pitches. Med. frame. Short arms and legs. Thick throughout.
Will look like Cory Lidle when he is done maturing. Clean delivery. Good balance over rubber,
moves out towards plate nicely and and everything back comes thru. Some effort and grunting
follows but head stays on line and is generally under control. Hides ball well. Throws uphill and
FB is flat as expected with his height. Basically a thrower of his FB @ this point and his
mentality on the mound of attacking hitters precludes anything better than 40 command down the
road. FB velo is inconsis. some days he will sit 92-93 and others 89-90. CV is strikeout pitch.
Flashes plus bite and velo most outings but will also get around it on occ. and it gets slurvy on
him. When it is sharp it has a steep 12-6 vert. late break. He has lots of conf. with CV and will
throw it when behind in the count. With added consis. it should be a solid offering. SPL is
mediocre right now, small dip but not anything to scare hitters like CV. Will fight smallish righty
stereotypes all the way up but two quailty pitches should be enuf to let him have a solid AAA
career. Command should keep him out of big leagues.
