Comments:
Latroy Hawkins clone with bat breaking stuff. XL frame lacks athleticism. Shoulders are very
close together. Long legs and arms that scrape the ground. Identical build to Hawkins. Stiff
delivery. Runs arm down leg out of hand break. Hides ball ok in back. Lots of moving parts with
some violence. Throws over stiff front leg but has zero problem keeping ball down. Repeatable.
Serious life on sinking FB. Delivers bowling balls to plate. Bat breaking sink and run in on RHH
hands w/FB. Tremendous angle with height and occ. straight over top slot. FB is fairly ordinary
from velo standpoint but plays up due to movement and heaviness. Would like to see FB more
consis in the 90-91 range from night to night which should come with some additional strength but
life and secondary stuff allow him to thrive even when his best FB isn't on duty. Around plate
enuf.  Hard sweeping SL is near plus pitch right now. Wicked two plane breaker is thrown with
near avg velo. Can back door it to LHH or snap it low and out of zone to induce RHH to chase.
Could use a bit more consis. with his release point but he's always going to want to vary the depth
and break to it-will still be plus even with occ. inconsis. CH is solid third pitch and useful
complement to cutting SL. Gd run to armside and identical deliv. should make it solid avg. Almost
SPL action on it. Same sink as FB. Misses loads of bats. Generally throws strikes, aided a bit by
A ball hitters committing early to pitches that fall late out of zone due to sink. Will prob. face an
adjustment period as he moves up and better hitters lay off some of those offerings. By all
accounts plus makeup with serious intelect. Chance to throw bowling balls in the 8th inning for
someone. Should develop into solid setup man, don't know if it's on a first division team.
