Youngest player in league. Athletic for size. Built like a man. Large frame with some body fat. Big
forearms and legs. Pretty good boiler for a 19 yr old. Body could def. be tightened up but it's not
going to be a big concern with how much he's going to hit. Sets up in a slight crouch, very wide.
Toe tapper but he's a bit inconsis. with his stride ect. Seems to be trying to work tapping out of
swing as he tries to work on a standard leg kick during BP and tries to take it to games but he occ.
has mental lapses and reverts back to tapping. Regardless of what he does it doesn't matter as he
can hit both ways, I think the tapping works a bit better for him as he sits back better but it's a
comfort thing right now. Explosive bats speed, ball jumps off bat w/ease. Has 70 raw right now
and should only grow into more as he gets older. Can make any park look very small to all fields.
Insane power is found when hands get extended but he can hit a ball out without centering it.
Plate discipline is very acceptable for a kid so young and should be plus as he matures. Can get
beat right now in under his hands with a good FB but pitchers are really attacking a spot about
the size of a few baseballs and if they miss he punishes them. Sits back well. Is an incredibly well
rounded and polished hitter for how young he is. Has a chance to hit for avg and lots of power.
Defensively he needs a lot of work. Arm strength is a tick above although A/A is forced-doesn't
have any lower gear. Moves to right ok but struggles immensely with ball right at him. Hds are ok
he just has poor footwork which hurts him fielding and throwing. Feet aren't going to get much
better as he gets even bigger. Will play his way off of 3B. Could be given a shot @ LF but I think
you may as well get it over with and move him to 1B. His bat will play @ 1B. Very good chance
to become a middle of the order run producer and one of the top power hitters in baseball in the
not too distant future.
