Strong workhorse build in mold of Jason Schmidt. Delivery and arm action solid. Hips don't clear
all the way and he spins off rubber pretty hard. FB inconsis. will sit 89-90 one night and 92-94
the next. Overthrows and command and life suffers. If he stays on top of his pitches and lets his
slot and size do the work for him he generates good sink and some glove side cut. When he
overthrows everything gets flat and straight. Unable to use FB to get ahead, has to subtract to
throw strikes with it. Too many deep counts, doesn't have the repertoire or loc. to be a starter,
any shot will be out of pen. Didn't hit a spot over the course of two inn. Telegraphs SL by
opening lead shoulder early to allow arm to get thru. Tight vert break, doesn't command it. May
improve command a bit but it will come at the expense of stuff. AAA arm for me unless
something dramatic happens with control or secondary pitch.
