Righty with great arm, deceptive control and puzzling results. Athletic build with some projection
left in upper body. Resembles a bit larger Octavio Dotel. Crossfire deliv. creates tough angle for
hitters with uncomft. stuff coming out. Spins hard off mound. Loose arm is esp. quick coming
thru. Explodes out of hand. Works in bottom of zone towards middle of plate. Inconsis. life.
Flashes plus sink. Expect more of a cut action to FB with across body deliv. but low slot means
he gets on the side of the ball and works it more towards to the armside. Cruises @ 93-94. Gets
hit way too hard w/FB. SL is a mess right now. All over from outing to outing. Has gone
backwards since beg. of yr. Near avg velo. Flat horiz. sweepage as he gets under it and babies it.
Bad deliv. speed. Hard time seeing it becoming avg. CH is a work in progress. Bad armspd and
lacks feel. Takes a lot off of it but it's artificial. Around the plate, throwing strikes is never going
to be a problem but the control plays down due to poor command, his strikes are very hittable.
Pitches like he's afraid of walking guys as opposed to most guys who pitch afraid of contact. Will
get lit if he makes same pitches at higher levels and then he'll be forced to start pitching away from
bats and walks will increase.Arm strength should get him to Hard to give up on this kind of arm
but he needs lots of work if he wants to be more than a one pitch middle reliever. Should continue
to move one level at a time to AA next yr.
