Comments:
Converted player who is a long ways away. Large lean body, classic pitchers build. V shaped
build. Prob. as big as he'll get. Long sweeping swing makes consis. contact a rarity. Golf type
swing with big turn away from ball and serious arm bar. Stiff. Hd path makes it hard for him to
stay inside ball and sq. ball up. Works out of a crouch, leans over plate. Not much batspd.
Swings like he's in swimming pool. If he connects he has strength to hit some prodigious blasts.
Avg raw power. Swings and misses a ton and shows little interest in drawing a walk or going
the other way. Can't hit a breaking ball. Has improved over course of season but is leveling off
to the point where I don't see what else he can do with swing and lack of batspd-if the
approach was gd you could project a tick more but I can't see it. Near poor runner. Plus arm
from his pitching days. Arm works well in back but he pushes it once it gets up. Lacks smooth
footwork around bag. Comes up early on GB's. He makes routine play right at him but range is
lacking. Lacks speed to play anywhere else. Not going to hit for 1B avg or power. Pretty
simple, should prob. get a chance @ AA but inability to catch up to plus FB and avg breaking
balls should make his stay there brief.
