Comments:
Older righty who can pitch. Is what he is from a body standpoint. Gd body control and
athleticism. Looks young. Deceptive funky deliv. works for him. Slow tempo. Gd balance over
rubber out of windup, not so much out of stretch when he's hurrying to plate (1.1). For most of yr
he was pausing for over a second @ top of leg lift which could be very frustrating for hitters
timing. Very hard to focus on what's coming out of arm with hiccupy deliv. Arm works well in
back. Soft light FB has gd sink when he stays on top. Gd reach back velo, pulls 88-89 out when he
wants it. Can work his FB both ways to both sides of plate. Not gonna miss any bats w/FB. Has
a hard time throwing CV for strikes. Throws w/near avg velo. Despite loc. issues he is confident to
throw it in most counts. SL is better breaking ball for me but gets slurvy @ times which CV
generally doesn't it. Gd arm spd creates deception on change piece but it's too firm when his FB is
sitting in the mid 80's. Generally around the plate. Gets hit pretty hard at times, is never going to
stack up the K's. Plus makeup guy who competes well. Too old to see much org. value from here
on out but he could pitch in AA and not embarass anyone. May not get the chance.
