Throw catcher. Member of Cal League All Hair Team. Sloppy appearance. Large frame, thick
and heavy build. Uncomft. in batters box. Sets up wide w/hds @ shoulder. Long sweepy
swing. Poor timing. Jumps nervously @ ball. Battles. Gets on his front ft. Doesn't get cheated
out of his swings. Has some raw power and he can run into a ball if he connects but approach
is short on contact. Not an offensive player. Clogger. Long loose A/A produces plus arm
strength. Easy cary thru bag. Acc. near poor. Struggles to hit glove throwing ball back to mound
and bounced every throw to 2B in game. Extra flexible receiver. Moves around w/ease. Bad hds.
Boxes balls, fringe liability behind plate. Low energy. 3rd catcher on A ball team. Should be in
Low A next yr if he is going to get AB's. May get back to High A in capacity he is in right now
but can't see lack of bat and defensive skills pushing him any further.
