Gd baseball player short on tools. Small build, wiry. A bit like David Eckstein phys. Swings
are similar from both sides of plate. Approach is a bit too big for little guy which leads to too
many swings and misses and takes away some power that he could have. Swings from his
heels. Sets up open with his hds high, drops them way down. Contact inconsis. Tends to be
fly balls or ground balls, not too many LD's. Drifts and lunges a bit more left handed, balance
better from right side. At best he has quality AB's, moves runners over. Bat swings him. Fringy
runner and arm. Runs better under way due to time it takes him to get out of box after pretty
big swings. Gd INF actions allow him to play anywhere on dirt. Slow first step makes SS @
upper levels a non option. Can be thrown out in OF and won't embarass you. Sure handed
defender with smooth transfer. Lack of specified position has hurt consis. of defensive game
but also creates only real value he has. Plays hard and makes teamates better. Prob. not in
affiliated ball next year-hard time placing him @ AA level.
