Comments:
Small catcher who must get stronger to have any chance at a big league future. Very athletic.
Narrow medium frame with minimal muscle. Trouble holding weight.  Currently on DL with
shoulder problems. As he is physically now he isn't capable of surviving grind of minor league
season. At this point he doesn't bring anything to the plate from an offensive standpoint but that
is more a function of a lack of strength. Before going on the DL he seemed tired and the bat was
swinging him. Nice actions at the plate, some bat waggle but he can get his hands thru zone ok.
Power doesn't play at any position. Works from a slight crouch. Fringe average runner. Shows
below avg arm strength with poor accuracy but the former is more of a function of an unhealthy
arm. I saw fringe avg arm strength from him in college so it's a matter of him getting it healthy and
back to where it was. Noticable tail and sink on throws. Quick feet help to make up for lack of
arm strength. Athletic and agile receiver. Gets underneath low pitch well and shows soft hands.
Moves laterally well and comes out of crouch well. Even if healthy and physically capable
Jennings is at best a utility guy who can catch and play some 2B and OF if needed. He's going to
have to gain at least 15-20 pounds to be able to make it through a whole season without getting
banged up, a tall order for someone with his frame. I can see his versatility helping at the org. level,
but no further.
