Young athletic player with chance to be solid big leaguer. Live athletic body with long legs and
high narrow waist. Wiry strong. Built similar to BJ Upton. More refined with bat than expected.
Quality swing. Sets up open with hds high, blanced load and stride put him in gd hitting pos.
Snappy wrists generate solid bs-by no means lightning quick bat.. Swing has tend. to get long in
hitting counts. Centers ball well and ball comes off with some kick. Easy carry to all fields hints
of plus raw power down line. Gd AB's, sees lots of pitches and refuses to make same mistake
twice in AB. Doesn't see CH all that well but otherwise pitch recog. is ok. Length in swing does
lead to lofty K #'s and holes. I'd be careful in shortening him up too much. Big swing makes him
slow out of box but he runs avg @ worst while under way.Very good arm with excellent carry.
Gd body control allows him to throw on run and make athletic plays. Young errors. Stays behind
ball too long and is lazy going to left. Will probably outgrow SS as he mature physically as range
is avg right now and will slow down more with time. Has hds and arm to play 3B and would have
no prob. playing a corner position. Speed and instincts to play OF. Bat while solid, will prob. be
tick short for premium offensive positions on a first division ballclub. Guess here is a CF on a
middle division.
