Pure hitter. Med. frame, musclebound and thick. Esp. strong in wrists and hands. Phys. mature,
body looks to be maxed out. Not a great athlete. Built similar to Luis Castillo. Balanced setup @
plate. Hds set by ear, legs pinched in slightly. Clean swing plane w/loose fast hands. Exceptional
hand eye coordination. Innate ability to find barrel consis. Big league contact. Ball explodes off
bat to all fields with regularity. Wraps a bit on occ. and can be tardy on a real good FB but
generally BS is solid. Shows avg. to slightly above raw power. Strength and consis. of contact will
allow power to play near ceiling as he moves up ladder. Will need to control zone a bit better as
he advances but plate disc. is acceptable for age/level. Has quality AB's and more often than not
will hit ball hard if he gets his pitch, doesn't miss a lot. May lose even more running speed as
lower 1/2 thickens several yrs from now. Grinder type defensive actions. Range and hands will
hold him back from being better than below avg def. inf. Can look lost moving back on pop ups.
He will continue to hit. Plays hard and appears to enjoy game. Chance to win a batting title down
