Righty with @ times special stuff. Large build. Thick thru entire body. Sturdy. Not much
projection left in body. Built similar to Jim Mecir. Better athlete than expected although he moves
around with a bit of a hiccup. Extra deceptive deliv. is best thing he has going for him. Hds over
head as he lifts leg w/a tilt and lean @ top. Gets back over rubber pretty gd. First moveout of hand
break is a smooth drift towards the plate. To hitter it looks as if he is staying back meanwhile
entire time he is moving closer and closer to plate. Similar to Josh Beckett. Ball jumps on hitters
very quick as a result. Arm is visible in back but uncomfortable for hitters as there's little feel of
where it is going to come out from. Some inconsis. to arm length in back. Distance he'll reach back
away from his body doesn't vary, more his body moves around a bit too much-mostly in later inn.
Quick from hand break to release. Works to both sides of plate w/sneeky FB. Very gd angle, stays
on top esp. well. Light 4 seam. Sinker has near plus cut to it, bat breaker. Elevates as he
overthrows. FB velo should be more consis with size. Too much 84-86 when he has had nights
sitting @ 90-91. Aggressive w/FB-pitches off it. True CV, looks like he'd have a hard time staying
on top with tilting deliv. but he has no such problems. Best have some two plane tilt @ 75-77, not
very gd @ velo extremes. Wraps his hand notic. on CV. Sl takes back seat to CV right now and
with his slot I don't see him really throwing a true one. Straight CH has some sink to it but he's
too soft with his arm. Works very quick and throws strikes. Not screwed up by hitters screwing
with timing. Gd feel. Misses bats, if CV were more consis. K's would be there. FB is prob. gonna
be fringy, control should be solid along with CV. He's a long man/back of rotation arm for me who
won't be a consis. yr in and yr out ML contributor but he'll get his time.
