| Comments: RHP with a plethora of slots to go along with quality stuff. Sinker SL guy. Large loose frame. Thickness in lower body. Room for more strength up top. Physically resembles Doc Gooden. Very quick tempo. Durable stuff. Works anywhere from a high side to straight 3/4 slot. Generates filthy run with FB. Arm takes a short path in the back, throws from his hip. Lots of deception in delivery, arms and legs all over the place. Pauses into landing to avoid rushing out with his upper body which has an added benefit of throwing hitters timing off. He'll work thru a lineup once before hitters start to get comfortable in box. FB is solid avg with plus life and movement. If he gets in a groove he will flash plus command of FB (not control) within the zone. SL is below avg right now, slurvy life, hurt by inconsis slots which make it tough for him to throw the same SL twice, he is best served to throw it from the highest of his slots (straight 3/4) which gives him the tightest spin. It's mediocre if he gets underneath it from a low 3/4 slot and very hittable. CH has potential to be his best pitch down the line. Great arm spd and deception, can throw it straight and have it sink or turn it over and let it run away. Continued refinement of CH will be key in Littletons' quest to find a way to combat LHH who have had success against him. Control is Littletons' biggest roadblock to becoming a big leaguer. While on the one hand finding a consis. slot to work from would allow him to throw more strikes it would also take away some of his movement which makes him effective in the first place. My feeling is that if he can pick two slots to work from (3/4 and a high side) he would retain much of his life while locating better than he did with his previous handful of slots. With added control (which will still prob be no better than avg) he could be a durable ground ball machine out of a big league bullpen who adds some versatility to a staff for his ability to spot start if needed. |
