LHH catcher who has bounced around. Strong, looks good in uniform. Doesnt do much
offensively, contact is weak. Approach is the pull, generates lots of two hoppers to 2B. WBA
batspeed. Doesn't center the ball or show ability to drive a ball into the gap. Catcher speed, sets
up and moves well behind the plate, but hands are suspect and lots of balls ricochet back to
screen. Showed fringy arm strength once over 15 days, otherwise mediocre. Just enough carry to
get to bag, below average acc. @ best. Doesn't call a good game. Has worked out and played a few
games at 1B, but bat won't play there in the least. Not enough defensive skills to keep him around
and look past bat. Should be released this off season.
