Comments:
Righty with big FB. Sloppy build and appearance. Long legs and arms, looks a bit taller than listed
height. Built similar to Merkin Valdez. Very easy deliv. produces tremendous FB. Needs to
improve balance and direction in deliv. Across body. Hard head jerk. Elevates FB too much
considering he keeps his fingers on top of ball very well. Finishes standing straight up. Minimal
deception as arm gets up early out away from head allowing hitters gd look at ball. Long circle in
back is stiff out of glove but loosens and quickens as it gets up and comes thru. Fast arm. FB sits
in top of zone but gets away with it @ this level. Sits @ 96-98MPH most nights. Light FB ,
hitters have no problem centering ball. Below avg movement. Gets some plane and a tick more hair
on ball @ 96-97 but generally straight and flat. Won't break bats. Gets hit hard when he throws
strikes w/FB. Frustrating SL. Very bad delivery and arm spd @ times which makes it very soft
and slurvy. No feel. If he throws it he'll flash plus velo and break. Hard time seeing it play consis.
plus but he should be able to dev. enuf consis. to make it  avg. CH is bad. Has same problems with
deliv. as he does w/SL. It's a soft BP FB, not taking anything off with grip so he slows down body
and tries to baby it. Hard enuf that hitters don't have much trouble staying back. Doesn't
intimidate hitters. Loud contact. A guy with his FB not striking out a batter an inning raises
serious red flags. Walking lots of guys. Hard time seeing him throwing enuf quality strikes to
remain a starter. Needs to focus on throwing strikes, command at this point is nonexistent. Should
be a two pitch power bullpen arm. Hard to walk away from the best FB in pro ball but he's a
ways away.
