Comments:
Strong player with some pop. Med. build with very strong arms. Joe Gaetti clone in more
ways than one. Stiff game lacks pure hitting ability. Sets up open and crouched. Stiff bar, long
to ball. Hard time catching up to avg FB. Commits early. Swing is very linear which makes it
hard for everything to come together all at once. BA batspd. Fails to make adjustments. Gets
beat over and over with CH. Bar makes him come out and around balls as opposed to pullings
hds in and taking knob to ball. Power is calling card. 50 raw power makes him a threat if he
makes solid contact. Flat around body swing plane robs some power. Has a chance to hit for 40
power @ upper levels but holes in swing and approach will be found w/ease by more advanced
pitchers. Can't hit breaking balls and struggles to get thru avg FB. Stiff A/A. Tracks balls down
alright but looks stiff doing it. Range is solid for a corner but lacks arm for RF thus relegating
him to LF. Hard to get past stiffness, don't think numbers will be there as he climbs ladder. AA
org. player for me. Should prob. spend next yr back in Cal League.
