Raw player with some offensive tools. Med. build with lots of muscle. Strong forearms and
lower 1/2. Not much projecting on body. Whippy bat generates avg to above avg batspd. Hds
set up high and loose over head. Too much length in swing for him to have any bat control. Ball
jumps off bat due to strength and BS if he connects. 50 raw power. Can turn around a gd FB
but a quality breaking ball presents a formidable challenge. Plate discipline has deteriorated as
swing has become more aggress. and longer. Takes some wild swings. Doesn't run well. Near
poor defender, u won't see too many worse than him. Max effort pushing A/A only gives him a
4 arm but also 3 Acc. He may tap into a bit more accuracy if he backs off his throws a bit. Poor
instincts. Drops balls and takes circus like routes. Bad 1st step. Limited to LF and it's a
stretch. Despite lack of defensive ability there is some intrigue with raw batspd and strength. I
have a hard time seeing it come to fruition but there seems to be enuf there to keep an org.
interested enuf to give him a shot @ AA level @ some point. Should spend all of next yr back
in High A.
