2004 Report

2005 Update:
Big righty who could stand to simplify arsenal. XL frame. Not a very gd athlete. Is what he is.
Stiff deliv. lacks deception and backside rotation. Repeating deliv. better than last yr but late effort
@ release makes consis. command a long shot. Long plunge in back, lacks armspd to catch arm up
to rushing body. Fb light and soft. Sits in top of zone. Overthrows. Cutter is primary offspd
pitch. Sits in low to mid 80's with small tight break. If he had more break it would be a nifty near
avg SL. True SL is softer in high 70's low 80's. Gets around slurvy CV. Generic split serves as
CH. Soft @ release with everything. Falls behind early in AB's. Is getting some K's with cut piece
@ this level but won't throw enuf strikes to see that continue @ upper levels. Doesn't miss too
many bats. Not very young to be having a mediocre yr in A ball. I can see him spending a mixed yr
between High A and possible AA next yr if timing is right. Can pitch in AA but don't see long
term future @ that level.
