Refined college player who does some things nicely. Savvy player who plays hard and does the
little things well. Stocky thick build. Soft around midsection. Is going to get wider and slower as
he gets older. Not a live body. Generates near avg BS from a slightly open cocked stance. Centers
ball well and can drive the ball towards the middle of the field. Strength to drive ball down in
zone. Sits back well and has a solid approach at the plate. Gets tied up occ. with hard stuff on his
hands. Cheats FB and bails against quality LH stuff. Should hit for gap power @ the big league
level. Below avg runner right now, as mentioned he will get even slower. GD hands and an avg
arm allow him to play SS @ the A ball level but his ft simply won't allow him to stay there as he
moves up. Fields ball cleanly out in front and knows when he can flip it towards 1B and when he
needs a little extra. Typical young MIF inconsis, clank a two hopper right @ him and then come
in on an in between hop and throw on the run for an out. Will be solid defensive second basemen.
Extra INF @ big league level who may adequately put together a few years of everyday play
depending on org. depth but would be a below avg presence in that role.
