Lefty with nice arm, short on command. Young imm. build. Looks larger than listed weight. Built
similar to a young Johan Santana. Needs to repeat deliv. better. Lots of effort. Tilts @ top which
screws up balance. Arm gets up early but otherwise works well in back. Comes out of deliv. early.
Slot needs more consis. Head has to jerk to make room for arm to get thru. Body doesn't move
straight to plate. Better direc. and softer head would go long way to improving loc. Lively FB
misses to wrong side of plate too much. Turns over two seam and lets it sink a bit. Sneaky quick
when he elevates. Serious reach back strength, can pull 93 out of his pocket. Slot raises higher and
higher as he gets excited. Flashes legit command of FB on inner 1/2. Gets on side of 3/4 CV.
Breaks late. Lacks feel and consis due to varying slots and release points. SL best offspd pitch but
needs to be sharper, too much of a tweener right now. Can bea completely diff. pitch depending
on where he lets go. @ 3/4 it's a mess, Over top it's snappy and tight. Will always be marred by
some inconsis. but if I had to put my money on one of his breaking balls it would be the SL. CH
needs lots of work to become usable offpsd pitch. Needs work on intricacies of pitching. Poor
pick off move, needs work on fielding his position. Develop. of CH will be key in whether or not
he moves to pen. Stuff to miss bats if he can throw strikes. Don't see more than 40 control down
line, if he gets ball over plate he locates it pretty well. Tough to give up on a young lefty with a gd
arm and numbers to back it up. Lack of control keeps him from being serious prospect. He's a 4A
lefty for me who should see a small amount of big league time.
