Offensive orriented C who has a chance to be avg behind the plate. Athletic build for a catcher.
Could add some more muscle to increase durability. Sets up slightly closed @ plate. Generates avg
BS. Hds and strength to get around on quality stuff. Gd extension and lift out front. Plus raw
power in bat. Hard contact with backspin. Easy lift. Can get long with offspd but otherwise very
short and compact stroke. Has a chance to hit for slightly above avg pwr @ plate as well as hitting
for a solid avg. Not clogger spd. Arm strength slow coming back from surgery but should be avg
when fully healed. Good set of hands. Funnels ball in smoothly. Sways nicely on corners. Blocks
well in front, could improve laterally. Sets up low and gives a good target. If he can stay healthy
he has a chance to be a solid big league catcher, if he continues to get hurt he will prob. be moved
from behind the plate but the bat still would give him some value. Look for .275 with 15-20 HR/yr
