Older 1B who should be doing more than he is in the Cal League. Strong mature player. Is what he
is. Line drive stroke. Big kick. Kick messes with timing and doesn't get as much lower 1/2 in
swing as expected with a kick. Hds slow. Commits early. Strength is to the pull side, doesn't
show interest in going the other way. Solid avg raw power plays below avg. Will be fed a steady
diet of FB hard in on the hands and soft stuff low and away until he shows he can go the other
way/turn on good stuff on the hands. Moves well around the bag and is a solid defensive 1B
despite base clogger speed. Hands are soft and sure. Too slow to play LF. Bat won't play past
AA and lack of versatility is an added strike.
