Righty with plus plus CH but lacking control and movement. Large frame. Extra weight. Strong.
Built like Victor Zambrano. Max effort deliv. limits ability to locate. Sweeps leg out. Leans back
@ top of deliv. Comes off of mound very hard. Gd fielding pos. Fans with glove out front.
Gathers himself pretty well before moving towards plate. Body direction gd. Avg FB is straight as
an arrow. Four seam is guided towards middle of plate. Has to pitch around FB if he wants to be
successful. 12-6 CV is downer with zero horiz. plane to it. Throws with solid velo and stays on
top. Releases too late creating early break that falls short out of zone and hitters see it early.
Seldom used SL looks like harder CV. No horiz. action to it, drops straight down. CH is very
good. Filth. Excellent arm and body spd create deception. Stupid swings. Looks like FB out of
hand and then slams on breaks 1/3 of the way to the plate. Very consis. right now. Throws strikes
but leaves everything up in zone. @ higher levels hitters will begin to lay off CH and he'll be
forced to pitch with his hittable FB. Essentially a 1 pitch guy. That one pitch should be gd enuf to
get him some big league time but he's more of a quality 4A arm.
