Comments:
Enigmatic RHP with gd stuff but inconsis. outings and command. XL frame. Very skinny. Long
legs and arms. High flat shoulders. Not esp. athletic, makes some goofy plays. Should fill out
some phys. but is always prob. going to struggle to keep weight on. Multi tempo deliv. Quick
start as he lifts leg but slows down as he drifts out towards plate. Hides ball well due to flexed
short A/A and tucked hip. Throws across body but it gives him some deception and style. Does it
easy which allows ball to jump on hitters a bit. Wraps hand out of glove, arm moves straight back
towards 2B out of glove. Avg FB is flat but sits low in zone, can turn it over @ 91. Tough angle
for RHH w/body moving towards them. Despite body direc. he is able to work to both sides of
the plate. Throws strikes and can miss some bats. Doesn't really have a reach back level w/FB, he
pitches @ whatever velo he has for given day. CV has avg potential. Thrown with gd velo and true
two plane break. Gets on side of it occ. and releases it too early which leaves them hanging up.
Throws SL for strikes. Confidence to throw back to back. Command is short right now. Occ.
comes out of it but generally consis. Doesn't use CH that much, lacks feel that he shows with all
other offerings. Attacks hitters hds. Can lull hitters to sleep @ times. Mixes pitches very well.
Will miss tons of bats if he is throwing breaking balls where he wants to, can get hit hard if he's
leaving soft stuff up. FB looks better with constant mix of offspd pitches. Durability is a bit of a
concern, may be better suited for pen. Flashed results worthy of his stuff on occ has a chance to
be an up and down guy who's role is prob. in long relief.
