Raw RHP who looks to have better stuff in him but hasn't showed up yet, will be 24 in offseason
and is prob. not ready for AA next yr. Large frame. Bopdy resembles a young Livan Hernandez.
Ball comes out of hand w/some funk and inconsis. Hides ball w/med. length A/A in back. Across
body. Soft body spd w/secondary stuff. Effort notic. increases after a few innings in order to
maintain velo. Back leg comes thru low and lazy. Slow arm.
Body direc. makes it hard for him to work to both sides of plate w/FB. 4 seam has natural cut. 2
seam is striaght and up in zone. Falls behind w/FB and starts cutting plate in 1/2, doesn't have FB
to blow by hitters. Flashes avg velo and break on SL, can't do it with any regularity. Throws thru
break @ higher levels and gets soft with it and feels for release when it's soft. Some really bad
hnagers in the high 70's. Soft w/cut CH. Similar to backed off SL. Not throwing enuf strikes.
Should have more FB with how hard he's capable of throwing SL. Not special enuf FB, secondary
stuff or loc. Not missing bats. Is a AA org arm for me who prob. needs more time in A ball next yr.
