Polished hitter, raw in other aspects of game. Grinder. Huge body. Built like a tight end. Country
strong with huge arms and tree trunks for legs. Resembles John Jaha. Short stroke for big guy.
Balanced. Rarely fooled. Everything works well in swing. Short to ball, developing some
extension in swing out front which is showing up in power number. Bit of a toe tapper but has no
problem timing. Consis. hits ball on screws. Line drives to all fields. Doesn't hit screamers but
Approach second to none. Very smart hitter. ï¿¿Sits back well and waits to get something he can
drive. Strength starting to translate into power in games. Occ. pulls off and like all hitters he can
be beat with a gd SL low and away. Very pure hitter who should develop avg power to go along
with plus hitting skills. Liabity defensively. Near poor arm due to awkward arm action. Throws
sink and is generally scattershot with them. Routes are downright frightening. Drops fly balls
with some degree of regularity, poor jumps off the bat creates unecessary slides and general
hysteria. Not much better @ 1B. Hands stiff and footwork awkward. Baserunning needs work.
Grinder. Don't see defense improving much, simply not very athletic and with age he will never
be better than a WBA presence on defensive side. Quality bat off the bench. Can't afford to let
him play defense @ ML level. Should split next year between AA and AAA.
