Athletic, hard nosed player whose tools are a little short for the game he tries to play. Lean, med
frame similar to a pre 2004 Johnny Damon. Short arms. Room for more weight throughout body.
Sets up very far off of the plate with hands low. Pulls off to get out of box in a hurry. HDS get
out away from body to cover outer 1/3 as best he can but there is nothing behind it. Slap and run
approach without blazing speed. Cheats FB in. Refuses to offer @ anything away. Unbalanced
finish with weight back, upright. Contact soft. Can spin on a ball and drive line drive into gap if
he gets something middle in but approach was exploited consis. Strong avg runner, plays a notch
above due to quickness out of box. Solid avg arm strength. Lacks pure speed and range you need
to play CF @ ML level. Good instincts and jumps but still short from a defensive standpoint.
Doesn't have the bat for the corners. Good org. player but nothing more based on limited early
look.
