Strong corner OF with caveman approach. Plays very hard. Physical speciman, very strong in
forearms and thighs. Is what he is as a player. Like other Giants prospects his swing has been
shortened up in an attempt to cut down on strikeouts. Sets up crouched, hanging over the plate
with hands low out away from body. Swing is flat and hard. Generates avg batspd due to raw
strength. Plus raw power plays plus @ A ball level but too many swing issues to see him hitting
with kind of power you would need to overlook the inability to make contact that has and will
continue to plague him. Doesn't make adjustments. Can hit a fastball down the middle a country
mile but anything hard in on the hands or anything with a wrinkle in it gives him fits. Feeble
attempt to go the other way, soft ground balls to second base. Fringy runner who always runs
hard. Shaky routes in LF, doesn't have the arm to play RF. Obvious place to hide him would be
1B but he doesn't have the hands or agility to get it done there. Has done all he can do in the Cal
League, finally putting together a well rounded offensive season. Should finally be given a shot @
AA next year but won't go any further.
