2004 Report

2005 Update:
Same guy as last yr for me but a yr older. Same body. Thick in hips. Mike Stanton build. Same
crossfire deliv. creates a cut on FB. Lands hard. Hides ball in back. Jerks head @ release. Lively
FB sits more consis. @ 89. Still has some cut @ 90+. Command still short w/FB. Will miss wrong
side of plate. CV is true w/some two plane tilt. Soft. Inconsis. release point creates break and
command variances. Get me over pitch, not an out pitch. Sharp SL is solid avg despite fringy velo.
Improved command and more consis. velo. Occ. comes out of it early. Throws lots of SL as
premier strikeout pitch. Cut is thrown thru SL and there's not really a huge diff. btwn the two. CH
is mediocre and used sparingly. Relies heavily on FB SL/CUT combo. Stuff to get lefties out. Bit
tentative to attack inner 1/2 of plate. Needs to do a better job of controlling emotions while on
mound. Control is prob. what it is going to be. Needs to be pushed to AA level next yr to see
what they have. See him now more as a lefty specialist @ AAA level than as a long man. Could
stand to simplify arsenal to take advantage of simple FB SL.
