Toolsy defender having nice yr w/bat. Very gd body. Tall and lean with long limbs. Twitchy.
Does everything up on his toes. Built similar to a young Derek Jeter. Lazy swing. Lays bat off
as he loads hds back. Sq setup with solid posture. Centers ball ok. Swings falls apart when he
tries to go after it. Swings thru too many pitches and batspd is suspect. Power potential is
limited. No extension in swing, finish is flat and around body. Ball comes off gd when he runs
into ball. Hard to buy into what he is doing with bat-swing is not great, no history of hitting,
old for level. Average runner who runs better under way-bit of a prancer up on toes but he can
move. Poor instincts on bases. Gliding slick defender up middle. Strong avg throwing arm-very
easy flip with avg accuracy. Actions are pure and range is adequate for SS. Makes some very
athletic plays, stays under control and throws well on move, gd instincts for flips and looking
for extra outs. Errors are a bit worrisome as they come on very routine plays that have to be
made-hds are prob. weakest part of defensive game-below avg. Fringy defender overall.
I expect bat to return back to bit more normal levels, may add a touch more consis. to his
defensive game. Very gd org player @ AAA level for me.
