C w/some pop. Catch and throw skills need some work. Med. frame. Big and strong. Monster
thighs and lower body. Big rear. Built similar to Ramon Hernandez. Some raw batspd. Gets
long. Swing is defensive. Inside outs too many balls. Gives up on swing early as hand comes
off bat. Bat gets stuck despite batspeed and head gets thru late. Lots of head movement as eyes
dive towards ball. Gets too far underneath ball. If he centers ball it will travel due to 50 raw
power. Didn't see him catch up to gd FB. Helpless against quality breaking ball. Gets pull
heavy @ times. Threat of running into ball will prob. keep people interested in bat but I don't
see usable playable pop. Battles hard but lacks pitch recog. you might expect from saavy C.
Clogger who lacks baseball IQ on bases. Likes to throw w/below avg arm. Quick release helps a
bit but gets careless. Funky cut to FB, struggles to keep fingers on top of baseball. Sits and
moves around ok for big man. Late reactions on occ. leads to some butterfly catching. Has
improved since early in year with receiving but will never be better than 40. Bat would prob. be
playable @ ML level if glove could project as avg, can't see it. Org. C for me who should get a
lot of time in AAA.
